[TV Daily reporter Choi Hana] ITZY’s "THAT’S A NO NO" has exploded across social media, fueling a wave of short-form content and engagement. The group first debuted a live performance of "THAT’S A NO NO," a track from their second mini album IT'z ME, during the February stop of their third world tour, , at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul. The number received a rapturous response from the crowd, and the members amplified the momentum with a string of short-form videos that quickly spread online. Short clips of "THAT’S A NO NO" posted to ITZY’s official YouTube, Instagram and TikTok had surpassed a combined 40 million views as of the morning of the 10th. Videos that showcase Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yeji’s precise lines have prompted repeat viewing, and Chaeryeong’s duet clips with ZEROBASEONE’s Zhang Hao and Lee Chaeyeon gave the challenge extra traction. Peers from JYP Entertainment, including NEXZ’s Tomoya and TWICE members Momo and Jihyo, also joined the "THAT’S A NO NO" challenge, helping the trend gain global visibility. Released in March 2020, the song is driven by a punchy moombahton rhythm and was an early favorite among MIDZY, ITZY’s fandom. Reintroduced through the group’s latest tour with standout choreography, it has re-entered K-pop fans’ playlists worldwide. On Melon’s daily chart, the track climbed from No. 961 on the 2nd to No. 307 by the 8th, marking a steady one-week ascent. Fans at home and abroad have praised the track, commenting that it now “controls my algorithm,” calling the “Daechu No-No” nickname a phenomenon, and saying watching the performance is a pure thrill — testament to ITZY’s bold stage presence. ITZY will resume their international run in April with a show in Melbourne and will continue through July with dates in Sydney, Auckland, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Bangkok and Manila. The group plans to deliver full, high-energy sets that feature the "THAT’S A NO NO" performance as they further cement their reputation as performance leaders. Meanwhile, maknae Yuna is set to debut as a solo artist on March 23 at 6 p.m. KST. Her first solo album, Ice Cream, and its title track of the same name will be available on streaming platforms at that time.
