[SPOTV News = Kim Won-gyeom] ITZY’s “That’s a No No” has exploded across social media. In February, the group revived the choreography for the track from their second mini-album IT'z ME during the Seoul stop of their third world tour, Tunnel Vision, at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium — and the response was electric. Fans roared in the arena, and the members rode that energy into a string of short-form videos that quickly gained traction. Clips of “That’s a No No” posted to ITZY’s official YouTube, Instagram and TikTok had amassed more than 40 million cumulative views by the morning of the 10th, underscoring the song’s renewed momentum. Videos that foreground Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yeji’s dance lines encouraged repeat plays, and Chaeryeong’s collaborations with ZEROBASEONE’s Jang Hao and Lee Chaeyeon added extra lift. Fellow JYP artists — including NexG’s Tomoya and TWICE’s Momo and Jihyo — jumped on the “That’s a No No” challenge, broadening its global reach. Originally released in March 2020, the track’s addictive moombahton rhythm was already a fan favorite among Midzy. Now, reintroduced as a standout moment on ITZY’s latest tour, it’s working its way back onto K-pop playlists worldwide. On Melon’s daily chart, the song re-entered at No. 961 on the 2nd, then No. 660 on the 3rd, No. 599 on the 4th, No. 479 on the 5th, No. 436 on the 6th, No. 407 on the 7th, and No. 307 on the 8th — a swift rise in just one week. Fans at home and abroad have hailed the track as the song that’s taken over their algorithms, nicknaming the trend “Daechu No No” (a playful alias for “That’s a No No”) and praising the exhilarating performances and ITZY’s fierce presence. ITZY will kick off the international leg of the tour in April with a stop in Melbourne, and through July they’ll visit Sydney, Auckland, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Bangkok and Manila. They plan to present a variety of stages, including “That’s a No No,” further solidifying their title as performance queens.
Meanwhile, ITZY’s youngest member Yuna is set to debut as a solo artist. Her first album, Ice Cream, is scheduled for release at 6 p.m. on March 23, and Yuna has said she intends to keep the momentum going with the album’s title track.
