[Sports Seoul | Reporter Yoon Dong-eon] BTS member Jungkook addressed the recent live-streaming controversy directly from the stage.

BTS performed on April 11 at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex as part of the BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'. The run in Goyang extended from April 10 through April 12.

Near the end of the show, Jungkook greeted the audience and said, "Tonight’s second show is over. I’m relieved we finished without anyone getting hurt. The weather was perfect, your cheers were perfect, and I feel great."

He then addressed the recent controversy head-on. "I’ve done several live streams recently, and they generated controversy," he said. "No matter the situation, please know my feelings for you are sincere. I’ll keep giving my all on stage. If you wait for us, we’ll repay you with many great performances. Thank you, and I love you."

Earlier, Jungkook faced backlash over remarks he made during a February livestream while reportedly under the influence. On April 8 he said, "I’m not sure if I was wrong," but added, "If ARMY felt uncomfortable, I’m sorry." He also said, "I was sincere with you, so I wanted to apologize once."

The tour will visit 34 cities worldwide, starting in Goyang and including stops in Tokyo, North America, Europe and South America. Some dates will include stadium shows, underscoring the tour’s large scale. hellboy321@sportsseoul.com
